Ida Wang | Arts & Crafts Instructor |
I was born and raised in Taiwan, and graduated from Hualian National Teachers College in 2003. I taught as a swim coach and instructor for over 15 years, and have been teaching arts and crafts at Purple Lotus School since 2013. In the past, I have also worked in our school administration as an administrative assistant for over 3 years. Now, I work part time as a teaching staff at Purple Lotus School. I am currently taking accounting courses towards attaining my Associate’s degree in accounting from Chabot College, while working part time as an accounting assistant.
I have a strong belief that my children are the future. Children have so much potential, and can become amazing creators and innovators in our world today. It is important to guide and nurture them in a way that fosters positive growth. I enjoy teaching students and the learning interaction between me and my students.
During the summer season, I go swimming and sometimes provide private lessons to my friends and their kids. I often do DIY handmade projects throughout the year, especially in the winter season. A few examples of things I like to make include crochet stuffed animals, hats and scarves for my children, handmade Halloween costumes, creating face painting designs, re-using old furniture and converting them to a new look, and many more.
